Duurzaamheid

When we started our company in 2023, we had one primary goal: to be as sustainable as possible without sacrificing quality or making our products too expensive. We analyzed the clothing production process and identified three essential steps to make a difference compared to other companies. These steps are the growing of the cotton, the production of the clothing, and the shipping to the customer.

When we began searching for a company to make our clothing, we contacted numerous potential partners. While many claimed to be sustainable, they couldn’t provide concrete details when asked for specifics. That changed when we found Lopez & Carvalho, a company based in Portugal, EU. First, this location means we don’t need to ship our products by plane from the other side of the world. Secondly, Lopez & Carvalho is a family business that truly understands sustainability. They source fabrics and other materials locally and use a sophisticated production process.

This leads to al their certificates:OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class 1, The Green Textile Club, Better Cotton Initiative, Organic Content & recycled claim standard and Lean & Green.

WOW what a list.

Our job was to make sure that we had a sustainable shipping process. The first thing you'll notice when receiving your product is that we ship it in bags that are 100% recycled Ocean Bound Plastic. A sustainable way to recylce plastic and save the oceans!

Then we started conversations with multiple shipping companies. We asked them what they did to be more eco-friendly, what their ambitions were for the future, and how long it would take to establish sustainable processes in other countries as well.

We think that we can become a sustainable company and keep our own goals in mind when designing new products. Together we can make the world a better place and so need to make changes. As a customer, you can choose to buy clothing from a sustainable company. We'll do the rest for you.

Thank you,
